In memory of my dear friend, Charlie McIntosh who sadly passed away last week - and on the 20th anniversary of its original release, I'm honoured to bring you 'SOUK ~ Saturday Night & Sunday Morning..'
It was my first ever release and still to this day - my proudest...Its a stunning compilation and sounds as good today, as it did then... but it was only made possible by the genius of Charlie at the mixing desk - as well as many memorable nights putting this masterpiece together, in his studio in Balham...
So long my friend....

Originally compiled for High-end Clapham Bar SOUK...
Voted in the the top 10 bar compilations in Tatler magazine, which featured Bar comps such as Buddha Bar, Hotel Costes, Mezzanine de Alcazar...
This album has a French, world music, jazzy-vibe with classic artists such as Gotan Project, Llorca, Cuba, Celexico, Zuco 103, Kyoto Jazz Massive & Doctor Rockit...

The SOUK compilations, were an integral part of the bars identity and signature on the lounge music scene, with upbeat, downtempo and electronic sounds, which became the signature of SOUK SOHO, SOUK CLAPHAM & JUJU CHELSEA'S entity, owned by Footballer Lee Chapman & Actress Leslie Ash...
SOUK SOHO & the critically acclaimed SOUK ~ SATURDAY NIGHT/SUNDAY MORNING both won critical acclaim in the French press, especially fashion & culture magazines...
